       2007: Martin appeared in 17 games as a pitcher, three times as a starter with one complete game. He struck out 34 batters in 44 innings with a 5.89 earned run average and a 2-2 record.
    BEFORE CAL STATE: He played one season each at American River and Sierra community colleges in Northern California where he was a scholar-athlete both years.
    HIGH SCHOOL: Martin played baseball for four seasons at Casa Roble High School in Orangevale, graduating in 2003. He was a scholar-athlete.
    PERSONAL: An accounting major, Martin's goal is to pass the certified public accountant exam after graduation and then enter the F.B.I. Academy in Quantico, Va. Away from baseball, Martin enjoys playing basketball, golf, paintball, watching movies and reading.
His parents are Dave and Elizabeth Martin.
