Rick Teegarden begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Coyotes.
Teegarden spent the last season at Seattle University as a graduate assistant. Before SU, Teegarden served as the Associate Head Coach at Shoreline Community College. Under his guidance SCC had two of the best seasons in program history, making a trip to the postseason for the first time since 1979.
Teegarden also served as an undergraduate assistant at the University of Washington in 2013. In 2017, he served as the hitting coach for the Bellingham (Wash.) Bells of the West Coast League — a summer collegiate baseball league.
Teegarden is a native of Bellevue, Wash., and earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington.
