Brett Hambright

Brett Hambright begins his first season as Coyotes assistant baseball coach in 2016.
 
The Corona native has spent the last three seasons coaching collegiate baseball. He served as an assistant at Dixie State in 2015, where he assisted the Red Storm to the NCAA Tournament. He served as third-base coach, and worked with catchers and hitters, assisted in recruiting and on-field maintenance.
 
He played two seasons at the University of Oregon (2011-12), and remained a part of coach George Horton’s program by serving as an undergraduate assistant for two seasons. He helped the Ducks to the Super Regional in 2012.
 
Following his senior year at Oregon, Hambright was selected and played for Team USA in 2012 and represented his country in tournament play in Cuba and The Netherlands.
 
Hambright played one season at UC Riverside, then transferred to Riverside City College in 2009.  He was twice selected in the Major League Baseball first-year player draft; in 2007 by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 34th round and by the Colorado Rockies in the 38th round in 2009.
 
Hambright earned his bachelor’s degree in general social science with an emphasis in counseling from Oregon.
 
He and his wife Brooke are the parents of daughter Blake. They make their home in Lake Forest.
