    2008: Olsen was out for part of the season with injuries, but he did play in 24 games, starting 22 of them behind the plate. He batted .263 with three home runs and 10 runs batted in. He handled 137 chances with 116 putouts and 16 assists and five errors for a .967 fielding percentage.
    2007: Olsen was the backup catcher and appeared in 13 games, making 10 starts. He batted .346 with nine hits in 26 at bats with a home run and six runs batted in. He handled 68 chances in the field with one error for a .985 fielding percentage. He threw out five runners trying to steal.
    BEFORE CAL STATE: He played at Southwestern College, earning Pacific Coast Conference honorable mention.
    HIGH SCHOOL: Olsen is a 2004 graduate of Valhalla High School in El Cajon. He was first-team all-San Diego section while playing four seasons of baseball. He also played basketball one season.
    PERSONAL: He is a business management major with an emphasis in real estate. He wants to play baseball professionally and eventually own his own restaurant. His hobbies are playing basketball, golf, camping and goint to the beach.  His parents are Richard and Michelle Olsen.
    MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT: Hitting a walk-off home run in 2004 high school playoffs.
