California State University of San Bernardino Athletics

BEFORE CAL STATE: Veiga started 24 games at Colorado State-Pueblo in 2009 and batted .375 with three home runs, 11 doubles, three triples and 29 runs batted in. He was previously an all-Foothill Conference player at Mount San Jacinto College.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years of varsity baseball at Hemet (Calif.) High where he graduated in 2005. He was named team MVP. Also played four years of varsity football. Named all-league and was a Riverside County All-Star.
    
PERSONAL: Veiga was both March 19, 1987, to Mark and Christine Veiga. He is majoring in liberal arts. Wants to get drafted by an MLB team after graduation.
