Biography

2009: Davis had a big year for the Coyotes. He was the team's third leading hitter among regulars with a .306 average. He played in 42 games at shortstop, starting 41 times. He had four doubles, two triples and 11 RBI and led the team being hit by the pitch (11 times). He was the team leader in stolen bases with 13 in 17 attempts. He handled 154 chances in the field with a team-leading 96 assists and a fielding percentage of .942. He contributed to 17 double plays.
    
BEFORE CAL STATE: Davis earned all-conference honors at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
    
HIGH SCHOOL: He is a 2005 graduate of Righetti High School in Santa Maria where he played four years of baseball, earning team MVP and first-team all-league honors.
    
PERSONAL: Davis is a kinesiology major  who plans to pursue a master's degree and stay involved in athletics in the field of performance training and eventually have a career in physical therapy. He enjoys water sports, snowboarding, fishing, hiking, biking and table tennis. He has served as a mentor to elementary school children. His parents are Robert Davis and Susan McIntosh. He has one sibling.
    
MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT: Having a one-hopper bounce off my knee that turned into a game-ending double play in a playoff game.
    
WHAT I WANT TO BE DOING IN FIVE YEARS: Having a solid foundation for a successful life.
