BEFORE CAL STATE: Kono played baseball at San Francisco State and before that he was an all-Foothill Conference player at Chaffey College in 2004-05 and 2005-06.
    
HIGH SCHOOL: He played four years of baseball for Coach Jon Austin at Cajon High School in San Bernardino, graduating in 2004.
   
PERSONAL: Kono is a business major with emphasis in sports and entertainment marketing.  He wants to work in the entertainment industry and create side ventures using networking methods. Away from baseball, he enjoys listening to music and going to the beach. His parents are Dan and Debbie Kono. He has three siblings.
