Biography
2008-09: Takata emerged as a solid point guard for the Coyotes. She played in 27 games, starting 25 times. She averaged 4.8 points and 2.3 rebounds a game with a team-high 81 assists (3.0/game) and 39 steals. She shot 40 percent from the field. Takata scored in double figures five times with a high game of 17 against Drury University and a season high seven assists against Cal State L.A.
BEFORE CAL STATE: Takata attended Long Beach State and played basketball.
HIGH SCHOOL: She is a 2006 graduate of El Dorado High School in Placentia where she played four years of basketball. She was first-team all-league and second-team all-CIF Southern Section and a scholar athlete.
PERSONAL: Takata is a marketing major who plans to operate her own business after college. She enjoys scrapbooking, hiking and shopping. She has been a volunteer at a local food bank. Her parents are Sheri and Kaz Takata. She has one sibling.
