Biography
2008-09: Gholar appeared in all 28 games, starting 12 times. She was the team's fourth-leading scorer at 5.6 ppg. She averaged 3.0 rebounds per game with 58 assists and 26 steals. She scored in double figures four times with a season-high 15 against San Francisco State.
BEFORE CAL STATE: Gholar played basketball in 2006-07 and 2007-08 at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
HIGH SCHOOL: She is a 2006 graduate of Monrovia High School where the was the team MVP all four years and the league MVP in 2005-06 and first-team all-league honors in 2004-05 and 2003-04. She was twice an all-area player. She also played softball for four seasons and was all-league all four years and all-CIF first-team. She was named the Monrovia HS "athlete of the year" in 2005-06.
PERSONAL: Gholar is a communications major whose career goal is to be a sports psychologist. She has been a volunteer for church youth groups, Habitat for Humanity and Special Olympics.. She enjoys shopping and spending time with family. Her parents are Larry and Traci Gholar. She has one sibling.
MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT: Making the quarterfinals in CIF playoffs for the first time in the history of my high school.
WHAT I WANT TO BE DOING IN 5 YEARS: Working for a Div. 1 athletic program.
