   2008: Soles appeared in 26 games, starting 25 times. He batted .279 with five runs batted in and 11 runs scored. He handled 115 chances at shortstop without an error (1.000 fielding percentage) and had 72 assists. He participated in 13 double plays.
     BEFORE CAL STATE: Soles played two years of baseball at Pierce Community College where he was an all-conference honorable mention.
    HIGH SCHOOL: He played one season of baseball at Granada Hills High School, graduating in 2003.
    PERSONAL: Soles is a graphic design major with his sights set on playing professional baseball or having a career. In his spare time he enjoys plahing Wayne Gretzky '95 on Nintendo 64.  His parents are Robert and Darcey Soles. He has three siblings.
