    BEFORE CAL STATE: After redshirting at Riverside Community College, McCarthy played two seasons at Chaffey College where he was an all-Foothill Conference selection.
    HIGH SCHOOL: McCarthy played one season of baseball at Canyon Springs HS in Moreno Valley.
    PERSONAL: He is a business major with an emphasis in economics who wants to operate his own business and multiple properties.  His hobbies are golf, playing FIFA '09, and watching movies. His parents are Jim and Tami McCarthy. He has two siblings.
