Biography

    2007: Brandt ran in all seven events for the Coyotes. Her best effort was an 18:59 for 5K at the UC Riverside Invitational and her best 6K time as 23:30 at the NCAA West Regional in Boise, Idaho. Her highest finish was 17th at the Aztec Invitational in San Diego.
    2006: While participating in all seven events for CSUSB, Brandt posted best times of 19:52 for 5K at UCR and 24:29 for 6K at the NCAA West Regional.
    2005: As a freshman, Brandt competed in six events. She ran a season best 24:12 for 6K at the CCAA conference meet in Chino.
    HIGH SCHOOL: Brandt earned multiple letters in cross country, track and skiing at Rim of the World High School, graduating in 2005. Her cross country team made it to CIF three times. She was team MVP and senior of the year in skiing and competed in the state meet four times.
    PERSONAL: She is majoring in mathematics with a minor in kinesiology with the goal of being a high school math teacher and a cross country coach. She is the 2008-09 president of the CSUSB Student-Athlete Advisory Council. She has volunteered her time with the Coyote Athletics Mentoring Program, Relay for Life, and was a leader at the Western Regional Outdoor Leadership Conference. Away from running she enjoys skiing, cycling, wakeboarding, swimming, rock climbing, hiking, knitting, crocheting and Rubic's cube. Brandt worked as a lifeguard at CSUSB's aquatic center this past summer.  Her parents are Steve and Christine Brandt. Her sister, Andrea, is an assistant coach with the team.

    MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT -- Breaking 19 minutes for the 5K at UCR in 2007.
    WHY I CHOSE CSUSB -- My sister came first and I liked the school and the athletics program.
