    BEFORE CAL STATE: Bird played two seasons at Mount San Antonio College where she was a teammate of current Coyotes Tawni Baker and Tori Beaudette. She earned first-team all conference honors as well as second-team all-state. Her team won the state championship in 2005 and finished second in 2006.
She attended Tusculum College for one semester.
    HIGH SCHOOL: She is a 2004 graduate of Norco High School where she played four years of softball, earning scholar-athlete honors four times and was a second-team all-league pick three years. She was a member of the 2003 CIF championship team.
    PERSONAL: Bird is a psychology major with plans to be a sports psychologist. She enjoys watching movies and spending time with family and friends. Her parents are Randy and Lori Bird.
