    BEFORE CAL STATE: Batista played one year at Cal State Monterey Bay (2006) whre she batted .268 in 44 games with five home runs and 25 runs batted in. In the field, she had 315 putouts at first base with only six errors for a .982 fielding percentage. She also played one year of softball at Chaffey College.
    HIGH SCHOOL: She is a 2003 graduate of Pomona Catholic High School where she played four years of softball, helping her team win a CIF Southern Section title in 2002. She also played one year of basketball. 
    PERSONAL: Batista is a kinesiology major with plans to be a physical therapist. She as worked as a coach for recreation league softball. She likes to take her dogs running and attend Portuguese fiestas. Her parents are Zach and Lucie Batista.
