    2007: Long was the No. 1 starter for the Coyotes, posting a 5-4 record with a team-leading 3.30 earned run average in 14 appearances, all starts. He had one complete game. He pitched 87 innings and struck out 89 batters. He was an all-CCAA honorable mention.
    2006:  He appeared in 18 games, 12 as a starter in the DH position and batted .298 with two home runs and seven runs batted in. On the mound, Long made nine appearances, all starts, and posted a 3-4 record with a 4.96 ERA. He had two complete games and struck out 38 in 45 innings of work.
    BEFORE CAL STATE: Long attended UC Davis and played one year of baseball at American River College.
    HIGH SCHOOL: He is a 2002 graduate of Woodland High School where he earned all-league honors while playing four years of baseball.
    PERSONAL: Long's major is English with an emphasis in linguistics. He wants to play professional baseball, then teach English in high school and coach baseball. He has umpired games for Newmark Little League in San Bernardino. His hobbies are playing golf and card games.  His parents are Denny Long and Nancy Mandler.
