Biography

    2007: Walton batted .307 in 36 games for the Coyotes, primarily as the designated hitter. He had three home runs and 19 runs batted in and a team-high 15 doubles. He scored 15 runs.
    BEFORE CAL STATE: He briefly attended University of Houston. Walton played two years of baseball at Saddleback College where he was a member of the state championship team in 2004. He earned all-Orange Empire League honors in 2005 and led all state JC hitters that year with a .450 batting average in 34 games with four home runs, 15 doubles and 39 RBI, earning all-state JC and JC all-America honors.
    HIGH SCHOOL: Walton payed four years of baseball for Coach Jeff Stout at Yucaipa HS, graduating in 2003. He was the team MVP for two years.
    PERSONAL: He is a kinesiology major with plans to work in law enforcement with a police department or the California Highway Patrol. If that doesn't work out, he would like to teach at the high school level and coach. His hobbies are hunting and fishing.
His parents are Ken and Christy Walton.
