At Mt. San Jacinto: Played two seasons for the Eagles and coach Steve Alonzo ... In 2010, the Foothill League champion Eagles were 35-13 and were one game away from the State Final Four... Captured regional series against Cerritos... Named 1st-team All-Foothill Conference and named All-State Southern Section.

At Perris HS: Played four years of baseball and basketball... Named 1st-team all-league in baseball as a junior and senior... Named 2nd-team all-league as a sophomore... Earned 1st-team all-league in basketball as a senior.

Personal: Son of Reggie and Evelyn Smith... Kinesiology major... Would like to coach college baseball someday... Enjoys all sports and is a big fan of "Jersey Shore.''
