As a Sophomore (2011): Appeared in 46 games with 43 starts, all in center field for the Coyotes... Hit .271 (46-for-170) with 14 RBI, 11 doubles, 2 triples and 1 HR... Scored 25 runs... Had team-best 16 stolen bases in 19 attempts... Had 13 multi-hit games with team-best 5-for-5 effort vs. Cal Poly Pomona (4/14)... Opened the season hitting .189 (7-for-37), before a hot streak that began Feb. 27 at Cal State L.A. ... Hit .464 over his next nine games before an 0-for-11 stretch... Built another hot streak, going 16-for-34 (.471) before ending the season 10-for-60... Owned a .962 fielding percentage.

As a Freshman (2010): Played perhaps the finest season in school history as a freshman… Appeared in all 46 games and earned 44 starts – all in center field… Named 1st-team All-CCAA and was the only FR on either first or second team… Named 2nd-team ABCA/Rawlings All-West Region… Earned Honorable Mention NCBWA All-West Region… Tied the school record with 14 home runs… Became the school’s single-season leader in runs scored with 60… Hit .342 with 35 RBI, 13 doubles and four triples… Perfect 9-of-9 stolen base attempts… Hit .367 with two outs (18-of-49)… Had 22 multiple-hit games and 10 multi RBI games… Best hitting streak of the season at nine… Hit .396 in the month of February… Had eight games of at least three hits… Failed to score run in only nine of 46 games… Did not hit below .340 in final two-plus months.

At Upland Christian HS: Played four years for Coach Geoff Ranney… A 3-time all-CIF Southern Section selection and CIF MVP…Played three seasons of football at UCHS, twice earning all-CIF honors… Selected for senior all-star games in both sports.

Personal: Son of Eric and Gavie Chapman… Kinesiology major, who enjoys football and basketball… Says winning the CIF championship in 2007 is his most memorable moment… Says 2010 American League MVP Josh Hamilton is his favorite athlete… Likes to follow the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim… Favorite vacation spot is Laguna Beach.
