Biography

    2007: Meyerholtz, a left-handed relief pitcher, appeared in 12 games for a total of 11 innings. He struck out seven batters but had no record.
    BEFORE CAL STATE: He played baseball two years at Palomar Community College.
    HIGH SCHOOL: The 2004 graduate of San Marcos High School played four years of baseball, earning both offensive and defensive MVP honors. He also played one season of basketball.
    PERSONAL: Meyerholtz is a kinesiology major whose goal is to teach physical education and coach baseball. Away from the diamond he enjoys golf, card games and working out. He is a big Padres, Chargers and Lakers fan. His parents are Tom and Sherri Meyerholtz.
    FAVORITES: Fast food -- Alberto's; Treat -- Red Hot Cheetos; TV program -- Prison Break; Movie -- "Anchor Man" or "Caddyshack";
Music -- The Game/ Lil Wayne; Meal -- biscuits and gravy with bacon, sausage and hash browns; Class - pro prep gymnastics.
    MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT -- Going to the state JC championship game my freshman year at Palomar.
    MOST EMBARRASSING SPORTS MOMENT -- Getting hit in the mouth with a baseball and losing two teeth.
    WHY I CHOSE CSUSB -- In state, close to home, good Div. II level competition.
