As a Junior (2011): Drafted in Round 50 by the Florida Marlins in the 2011 Major League Baseball draft, but elected to return to CSUSB for his senior season... Appeared in 13 games with 12 starts... Earned a 4-3 4.48 ERA in 64 1/3 innings... Reached the 5th inning in 10 of 12 starts... Had 44 strikeouts with 19 base on balls... Allowed one hit, with five strikeouts and three walks in 6 1/3 innings and earned a 4-2 victory at Cal State East Bay (3/12)... Two starts later, threw 6 2/3 innings, allowed three hits and four run in 6-5 win over SFSU (4/2)... Earned final win of the year at Chico State (8-6 win)... Had three strikeouts without a walk in 5 1/3 innings.
