Cal State San Bernardino's Allison Legates has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 31-Sept. 6.
Legates helped keep the Coyotes perfect at 7-0 as they defeated three nationally ranked teams on a neutral court. The middle blocker led CSUSB with 15 blocks (five solo) at the three-match Bronco Classic, averaging 1.36 per set. She helped the Coyotes hold opponents to a combined .114 hitting percentage and did not record a blocking error.
The Los Gatos, Calif., native had seven blocks in a five-set win over Simon Fraser Friday and six blocks in a sweep of Central Washington on Saturday. She also added 11 kills on just 27 swings (.296 hitting percentage). Legates leads the CCAA with 1.13 blocks per set.
This is Legates' first career CCAA Defensive Player of the Week award, and the first for Cal State San Bernardino in 2026.
CSUSB (7-0) will open its conference schedule this weekend at home against San Francisco State (Sept. 11) and Cal State East Bay (Sept. 12). Both matches will be available on FloCollege.
