SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino men's and women's basketball teams each announced their 2024-25 competition schedules on Friday afternoon.
The regular season will start on November 1 for the reigning West Region Champion men's basketball program, with the women's basketball team starting a week later on November 8.
The Coyote men will be stamping their passports to open their season, traveling north of the border for three contests hosted by the NCAA's lone Canadian institution, Simon Fraser University. The Yotes will take on Saint Martin's on November 1, the hosts on November 2, and Western Oregon on November 3, all at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, British Columbia.
The CSUSB women's team will host the Conference Crossover Tournament to open its 2024-25 season on November 8 and 9. San Bernardino will take on Concordia University Irvine on November 8 and Biola on November 9 inside Coussoulis Arena.
The men will play a Conference Crossover of their own the same weekend as the women, on the road at Central Washington, with contests against the host Wildcats and Western Oregon.
Men's basketball will play their home opener on Saturday, November 16 at 2 p.m. against Point Loma Nazarene University, a rematch of the 2023 West Regional Championship game.
Other non-conference opponents include Biola, Concordia University Irvine, and Azusa Pacific for the men, and Westmont, Dominican, and Fresno Pacific for the women.
The men's and women's California Collegiate Athletic Association schedules will mirror each other, with all games being played as part of a doubleheader. The women will play first in each doubleheader, followed approximately 30 minutes later by the men's game.Â
The Coyotes will begin conference play on Saturday, November 30 against local rival Cal Poly Pomona inside Coussoulis Arena. A little over a month later, Cal State Los Angeles will travel down the 210 to visit San Bernardino, the teams that eliminated both the men's and women's teams from the CCAA Tournament in March.
Senior Day for both the men's and women's teams will be played on Saturday, February 22 when San Francisco State makes a visit to Coussoulis Arena.
Two weeks later, the CCAA Tournament will be played at Cal State San Marcos starting on Thursday, March 6, with the title games slated for Saturday, March 8.
The NCAA Division II West Regional Championships will be played a week later at sites to be determined, followed by the NCAA Elite Eight the next week. The men will look to make their third consecutive trip to the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, while a West Region Championship would book a ticket to the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the women.
All CCAA-hosted contests will be available to stream on the new CCAA on FloSports. Visit goccaa.org/flosports to sign up today.
