SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino Department of Athletics officially unveiled the 2024 schedules for its fall athletic teams on Wednesday afternoon.
The regular season will start on September 5 for the men's soccer and women's volleyball teams, while women's soccer starts on September 6 on the road at Concordia Irvine.
Women's cross country opens the season when they host the Coyote Challenge on September 7, while men's golf is the final fall sport to start when they tee off on October 7.
Women's volleyball will host the Yotes Classic to open their 2024 season, hosting the seven-team tournament from September 5 through September 7. The Coyotes will play non-conference contests against Seattle Pacific, Biola, St. Cloud State, and Chaminade during the tournament.
The following weekend, the Yotes will head to Central Washington for a three-day tournament from September 12 through September 14. They will open CCAA play a week later on the road at Cal Poly Pomona at 5 p.m. on September 20.
A rematch of last season's CCAA Championship match and West Regional final will take place at Coussoulis Arena Thursday, October 24 when the defending national champions from Cal State Los Angeles visit San Bernardino.
The final match of the regular season will be played on Saturday, November 16 when the Yotes host Senior Night against Cal State San Marcos at 7 p.m.
On Thursday, November 21, the Coyotes will begin play at the CCAA Tournament, hosted this season by nearby Cal Poly Pomona.
The men's soccer team opens its season on the road on September 5 with a contest against Point Loma in San Diego. Their home opener will be two days later at CSUSB's Premier Field when Biola University makes the short trip to San Bernardino.Â
After September non-league contests against Vanguard, Concordia Irvine, Azusa Pacific, and Cal Poly Pomona, the Yotes will begin CCAA play on October 4 at home against Cal State Monterey Bay at 12 p.m.
Senior Day will be hosted by CSUSB on Sunday, November 3 when Cal Poly Humboldt visits Premier Field for an early 11:30 a.m. kickoff.
The CCAA Tournament will begin on November 10 with the first round at campus sites, followed by the semifinals and final at Cal State East Bay.
Women's soccer will open its season on the road at Concordia Irvine on Friday, September 6, before playing its first home game against Hawaii Hilo with a 2 p.m. kickoff on September 9 at Premier Field.
September non-conference matchups with Colorado State Pueblo, Fresno Pacific, Westmont, and Cal Poly Pomona will precede the CCAA opener on October 4 at home against Cal State Monterey Bay.
Like the men's team, the women's soccer team will play its Senior Day game against Cal Poly Humboldt on Sunday, November 3. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m.
The CCAA Tournament will begin on November 10 with the first round at campus sites, followed by the semifinals and final at Cal Poly Humboldt.
Women's cross country opens its season by hosting its premier event, the Coyote Challenge, on Saturday, September 7. The race, which will meander through the eastern side of the CSUSB campus, will serve as Senior Day for the Coyotes, as their lone home meet of the season.
After the Coyote Challenge, the Yotes will make the short ride down the 215 to their first of two races at UC Riverside. The first is the UCR Invitational on September 21, followed on October 19 by the Highlander Invitational.
In between the two UCR races will be the Cougar Invitational at Cal State San Marcos on September 28 and the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on October 12.
The CCAA Cross Country Championships will be contested on Friday, October 25 at Fresno's Woodward Park. The women's 6K race will begin at 10 a.m. Two weeks later, the Coyotes will travel to Billings, Mont. to compete in the NCAA West Regional Championships.
The final fall team to kick off its 2024 season will be the men's golf team, which will play a four-match fall schedule.
The Coyotes will begin play their first tournament of the year at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational, hosted by West Texas A&M on October 7 and 8. A week later, they will head to CCAA foe Cal State Monterey Bay for the Otter Invitational on October 14 and 15.
For the final two matches of the fall, the Yotes will fly to Hawaii for tournaments hosted by Hawaii Pacific University and Hawaii Hilo on October 21 and 22 and October 25 and 26 respectively.
The Coyotes will take the winter off, before playing five regular season tournaments, the CCAA Championships, and the NCAA Championships in the spring. The Yotes will host in the Battle in the Desert at Rams Hill Golf Club in Borrego Springs from February 24 through 26, as well as the NCAA West/South Central Regional Championships at Victoria Club in Riverside from May 8 through 10.
