Men's Basketball Hosts Successful Youth Camp

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino men's basketball team recently hosted a campus for local children inside Coussoulis Arena.

CSUSB Athletics partnered with Children's Fund for the camp. Children's Fund is a San Bernardino non-profit organization that serves our communities' most vulnerable children by funding and equipping agencies and nonprofits that serve children who are experiencing poverty, abuse, and neglect.

"We are thrilled to bring youth basketball camps back to CSUSB," said head men's basketball coach Gus Argenal. "It was a joy to see the smiling faces of our campers, and we are grateful for our players and coaches for working so hard to provide a high quality experience for all involved. A special thank you is also due to Children's Fund. We look forward to continuing this partnership and growing our presence in the Inland Empire."

"Children's Fund is such a great cause doing amazing work for the youth of the Inland Empire," said AJ Keefe, Cal State San Bernardino senior associate director of athletics for philanthropy. "We consider ourselves fortunate to partner with them and have them attend our men's basketball camp this year. We look forward to continuing to support their mission and can't wait to have the kids join us at games."

Children's Fund was founded by Jack H. Brown, former CEO of Stater Bros. Markets and CSUSB alum. The University's College of Business and Public Administration is named for the late Mr. Brown.
