Box Score POMONA, Calif. - The #24 California State University San Bernardino men's basketball team clinched a share of the CCAA Regular Season Championship and the top seed in the upcoming CCAA Tournament with a 65-53 victory over Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday evening at Kellogg Arena.

With the win, the Coyotes close the regular season with an overall mark of 22-6 and a conference record of 17-5. 

The teams played a tight first half, which came to a close with the Coyotes holding on to a narrow 33-31 advantage. Senior guard Sedrick Altman (Rialto, Calif.) led all players with 10 points in the opening half. 

The Yotes pulled away in the second half, holding the Broncos to just 22 points and zero made three-pointers. Senior Robby Robinson (San Diego, Calif.) flirted with outscoring Cal Poly Pomona on his own in the second half, posting 16 points and seven boards in the second period alone to help the visitors seal the win.

Robinson finished as the game's leading scorer with 23 points, and was one of four Coyotes in double figures. LeAndrew Knight (Lompoc, Calif.) notched 11 points, while Altman and Evan Guillory (Springfield, Mo.) each scored 10.

CSUSB's regular season title was not clinched until about 25 minutes after the final horn, when Cal State Los Angeles knocked off first-place Cal State Dominguez Hills in a nail-biter, leap-frogging the Yotes into the number one seed.

The Coyotes receive a first round bye in the CCAA Tournament, and will play the winner of the 4/5 quarterfinal between Cal State East Bay and Chico State in a semifinal at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 8.
