SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB men's basketball team is headed to its third consecutive NCAA West Regional, it was announced during the NCAA Division II Selection Show on Sunday night. The 27-3 Yotes are already one of the most successful teams in program history, and with just a few more wins, will cement themselves as the most talented team to take the court wearing a CSUSB uniform. However, their eyes are set on something much bigger than a program record – a national title.

The #2 seeded Yotes open the NCAA tournament this Friday, March 10^th, against #7 Montana State Billings (20-9) at 2:30 PM at Golden Gymnasium in San Diego, CA on the campus of Point Loma Nazarene. Should they win that quarterfinal game, they will advance to the semifinals, where they would play the winner of #3 Azusa Pacific and #6 Cal State San Marcos at 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 11th. Since the PacWest Conference does not compete on Sundays, the championship game will be held on Monday, March 13^th, at 7:00 PM. The west region champion will then advance to Evansville, IN where the Elite Eight compete for a national title.
 
Just as it works in Division I March Madness, the entire tournament is single elimination. Meaning if the Yotes lose at any point, their season is over. If they win six straight games, they're national champions.
