SAN FRANCISCO – The CSUSB Yotes moved into a tie for first place in the CCAA with a 7-1 win at San Francisco State on Sunday afternoon.
They rode the outstanding performance from
Raul Salazar, who pitched a complete game allowing just 5 hits with seven strikeouts while allowing no extra-base hits.
On the offensive end
Brandon Galindo had three hits including a double and
Deshawn Johnson and
Daryl Ruiz had two each.
"
Raul Salazar was unreal today," head coach
Mike Nadeau said. "I am not sure when we have had a complete game by a pitcher. A big fifth inning gave us what Raul needed to shut the door.
Brandon Galindo was great going three-for-five with 2 doubles. It was a great series win for us. We look forward to being home."
The Yotes will come home at 6-2 in the CCAA to face Stanislaus State in a four-game series beginning Friday at 6 pm. Games are live on the CCAANetwork.com.
