SAN BERNARDINO – The CSUSB Yotes dropped a pair two visiting Cal State San Marcos on Saturday in rainy, cold conditions, 1-4 and 0-2.
In game one the Yotes pulled to within two in the fourth on
Alyssa Martinez's solo shot. But the Yotes produced just three hits in the game.
Samantha Vargas and
Natalie Carlos combined to allow just five hits.
In game two the Yotes again just had three hits, as
Brooklyn Blackmon and
Ashley Martinez combined to allow just six hits.
"Our pitching staff did a good enough job to keep us in the games," head coach
Dee Payan said. "We are looking to make better offensive adjustments at the plate to produce more runs.."
The Yotes will look to get back on the right track tomorrow as they finish the doubleheader at 12 pm. The games are live on the CCAANetwork.com.
