The Yotes softball team picked up a pair of home wins over Stanislaus State on Friday afternoon at home, 4-0 and 10-2 in six innings.
In game one the Yotes pitching was fantastic with
Samantha Vargas and
Sofia Gombos combining to allow just three hits and no runs. They used their defense with just one strikeout, but only one error from the Yotes.
Alyssa Martinez broke it open in the sixth inning with a two-run single off the right field fence with the bases loaded with one of her two hits.
Bailey Wallace added a double for CSUSB.
In game two, the Yotes offense exploded in the fifth inning with six runs and then two more in the sixth to run-rule the Warriors.
Kiki Foley and
Kyla Lowman both doubled, each with two RBI and Foley, Shannon Galliono, and
Tereise Tosi each had two hits. Galliano and Tosi hit back-to-back homers to end the game in the sixth.
Brooklyn Blackmon allowed just two runs on six hits for the Yotes.
The teams will finish the series tomorrow with a doubleheader at 11 am. The games are live on the CCAA Network.com.
