TURLOCK, Calif. – Heading into this game, the Yotes held an overall record against the Stanislaus State Warriors of 16-8. The Warriors were in the lead by two points at the half, but CSUSB took control of the second half, running away with the victory, 54-45.
The first half of the battle both teams were neck and neck in all aspects of the game. Both teams collected nine field goals, but the Yotes edged out the Warriors, as CSUSB shot 37.5 percent against Stan States 34.6 percent. The first half closed with the Warriors in the lead, 24-22.
The Yotes pulled away from Stan State in the second half, gaining their largest lead of 12 points. CSUSB scored 21 bench points and fifteen points off turnovers, sealing their 11-streak victory, 54-45.
The Yotes collected 38 rebounds, scored 24 points in the paint, and found each other for 12 assists. CSUSB's defense forced the Warriors to commit 22 turnovers and the Yotes capitalized on those errors by scoring 10 fast break points on the game.

Andy Newman. "On nights like this, when our offense isn't producing like normal, our defense pushed us over the top to get the wi.n This was a gritty game that we found a way to win. Really proud of our guys tonight."
Leading in scoring for the Yotes was
Kaijae Yee-Stephens who scored 16 points and had five rebounds and one assist on the game.
Darius Mickens added nine points to the board while grabbing nine rebounds and four assists. Also scoring nine points was
Daytone Jennings who closed the game with six rebounds and one assist.
CSUSB is scheduled to play their next game on Saturday, February 5
