SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Going into the game the Yotes held an overall record of 3-0 against Academy of Art. CSUSB was determined to keep their win streak going, downing the Urban Knights, 96-64.
 
In the first half the Yotes dominated in the paint, scoring 22 of their points from down low. Their defense was tough to break as Academy of Art was only able to score six points in the paint. CSUSB took lead into half time with a score of, 54-30.
 
The Yotes would keep expanding their lead as the clock counted down. CSUSB scored 16 points off the bench in the second half and capitalized by scoring 10 points of the Urban Knights turnovers. On the Yotes home opener, they downed the Urban Knights, 96-64.
 
Leading for the Yotes in points was Brandon Knapper who scored 28 points and had three assists. Knapper went six for seven beyond the arc finishing the game going .85 percent on three pointers. Eddies Davis closed the game with 15 points and six rebounds. Daytone Jennings finished the game with 12 points and eight rebounds. Also scoring in double-digits was Darius Mickens who collected 10 points and eight rebounds.
 
"It felt great to be back home In Coussoulis arena today" said coach Andy Newman "We really played together offensively today and that was the key. We are going to be very hard to beat when we share the ball."
