HAYWARD – The CSUSB Coyotes took three of four in their opening CCAA series with a split on Saturday at CSU East Bay.
In game one, the Yotes bats were silent in a 3-0 loss, but
Veronica Garza did double and
Kendra O'Cull scattered five hits and three runs on the mound with five K's.
In game two, CSUSB exploded with 12 runs in a 12-3 run-rule victory. The third inning saw the Yotes score eight runs and blow the game wide open.
Samantha Vacko,
Arianna Parham, and
Kelia Paragas all doubled with
Kaylee Williamson and Paragas going yard. Paragas collected four RBI in the game.
Taylor De'Tinne allowed just one earned run on five hits.
Haley Finn, Williamson, and Parham all had two RBI.
