SAN BERNARDINO – The CSUSB Coyotes could not overcome hot three-point shooting from the visiting CSU East Bay Pioneers and fell 78-90 on Saturday night in the regular-season finale.
 
Daytone Jennings led the Yotes with 28 points and 12 rebounds.  Jeremy Smith added 23, seven boards, and five assists.  Tyrell Henderson had six points and five assists.
 
CSUEB made 14 threes in 30 attempts.  The Yotes led on the glass 41-34.  CSUEB (16-12, 12-10 CCAA) led by 12 at half and the Yotes (21-7, 16-6 CCAA) played them square in the second half but could not complete a comeback.
 
The Yotes celebrated seniors Andres Villa, Jeremy Smith, and Isaac Udo-Ema pregame, and they will be back on Tuesday night at 7 pm to face CSU East Bay again at home in the first round of the CCAA Playoffs.
