SAN BERNARDINO – The Yotes lost a pair of close games on Saturday afternoon to visiting CSU East Bay, 5-6 in 11 innings and 4-5.
 
The Pioneers scored in the 11^th to earn the win, but each team scored a run in the ninth to force extras.  The Yotes led early 4-2 after scoring three in the second.  Andrew Talkington, Xavier Ulrich, and Carter Kimberly all doubled with Kimberly also homering and driving in four.  Talkington had two hits and the Yotes bullpen allowed only one run over the final five innings.
 
In game two the Yotes led 4-3 after three innings, but runs from the Pioneers in the fifth and seventh were the difference.  Daryl Ruiz doubled to cap the first and Paul Sanchez tripled in the third to score two.  Sanchez led with two hits and GJ Hurst doubled for the Yotes.
