SAN BERNARDINO – The CSUSB Coyotes took game one 13-4 against CSU San Marcos on Friday afternoon, and game two was halted in the sixth inning due to darkness.
In game one the Yotes posted six in the first and five in the fifth to run-rule the game in five innings. They collected 14 hits to score 13 runs with no errors.
Madison Veldman had three hits with a homer and double.
Veronica Garza,
Haley Finn, and
Kaylee Williamson all had two hits. Finn homered and
Samantha Vacko, Garza, and
Jamiana Gateb all doubled.
Kendra O'Cull scattered seven hits with three K's going the distance. Veldman drove in three while Vacko and
Diana Gomez each had two RBI.
Game two featured aggressive hitting from both sides. The game was halted due to darkness with CSUSM leading 16-11 in the bottom of the sixth. The Yotes had 10 hits with Finn smoking two doubles and Veldman and Williamson hitting home runs.
