SAN BERNARDINO – The CSUSB Coyotes celebrated their post-Thanksgiving with a 83-74 win over visiting Texas A&M International on Friday night.
Daytone Jennings led the Yotes with a season-high 28 points and just missed the double-double with nine rebounds.
Andres Villa added 13 points and eight boards, and
Shea Rax added 12 points.
Jordan Mitchell scored 14 points as the Yotes shot 51.6 percent on the game.
The Yotes dominated in the paint, 50 points to 24, and controlled the glass 38 rebounds to 24 with 16 offensive boards that led to 16 second-chance points.
The game was back and forth early, but the Yotes took control in the first half and led 40-36 at half. The game was tied twice in the second half but the Yotes pulled ahead by double-digits at the 8:05 mark and never looked back.
