SAN BERNARDINO – The CSUSB Coyotes scored with 27 seconds left in the second overtime on Thursday to beat Cal State LA 2-1.
With the clock winding down Kaylah Wanna found Vidalia Abarca who laid it off for Kelly Kevershan who took one move past the keeper and sealed the win. It was Abarca who opened the scoring with a bending contested shot in the 22nd minute and she put four shots on frame on the day.
LA had tied the match in the 60th minute, but only led in shots on goal 8-6. Carly Luna was outstanding in goal for CSUSB, making seven saves.
