HAYWARD, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes handed No. 22 Cal State East Bay their first home loss of the season on Thursday night, 74-73, outscoring them by five to erase a four-point halftime deficit.
The Yotes made it more interesting than it needed to be, letting an eight-point lead slip down to one in the final two minutes.
Tyrell Henderson drilled a three at the 1:50 mark to put CSUSB up 74-66.
Daytone Jennings led the Coyotes with 19 points and five rebounds.

Garrett Baggett had 10. CSUSB shot a scorching 65 percent in the second half, hitting four threes. They dominated points in the paint, 42-24.
"What a great team win tonight," head coach
Andy Newman said. "The guys showed a ton of heart to overcome a lot of adversity and beat a really good team at home. I am really proud of how we responded."
The Pioneers scored the first 10 points of the game, but CSUSB never let the lead get above 10 again in the first half, tying it twice. Two minutes into the second half the Yotes grabbed the lead and it was back and forth from there. CSUSB held CSUEB to three points over a three-minute stretch late to take the eight-point edge.
The Coyotes (13-8, 9-6 CCAA) will look to make it a perfect road trip, facing CSU Monterey Bay at 3 pm on Saturday. Live links are available on CSUSBathletics.com.
