SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes erased a first half 18-point deficit and had chances late, but in the end, fell 79-82 to Cal State East Bay on home on Saturday afternoon.

The Pioneers led by 18 with 7:02 left in the first half, but CSUSB finished the half on a 19-9 run to get within eight at half.  By the 15:29 mark of the second half CSUSB led on a Dante Williams jumper, 44-43, and the game was on.

Garrett Baggett led five Yotes in double figures with 14.  Daytone Jennings added 13, Andres Villa and Justice Green scored 12 each, and Naradain James added 10.  The Yotes led on the glass, 39-30, with 18 second-chance points on 14 offensive boards.  Jennings pitched the double-double with 10 boards.

Neither team led by more than four as the game came down the home stretch, but a couple timely threes from East Bay, part of their 12 on the night, got them to the finish line.

The Coyotes (10-6, 6-4 CCAA) had their five-game CCAA winning streak snapped, but they look to start a new one on the road next week, with Cal State LA on Thursday at 7:30 pm.  Live links are available on CSUSBathletics.com.
