SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes played a solid second half, but two goals from Chico State fueled the 2-0 result on Friday afternoon at Premier Field.
The Wildcats scored in the 14th and 24th minutes, but the Coyotes shut them down from there and led in shots in the second half, 5-1. Elizabeth Rivera, Haidee Duran, and Kelly Kevershan were on the attack with a shot on goal each, a category they only trailed in 3-4.
Kevershan's look came before the first Chico State goal, but CSUSB was unable to get a shot off between the two goals.
The Coyotes (2-6, 1-2 CCAA) will look to grab a win on Sunday against Stanislaus State at 11:30 am at home before heading out on a two-match road trip. Live stats are available on csusbathletics.com.
