SAN BERNARDINO (February 3, 2018) — The Coyotes shined in one of their best all-round games this season in a 76-55 win over visiting Stanislaus State in CCAA basketball Saturday night at Coussoulis Arena.
Big lead, big win
CSUSB produced a 31-point lead — its largest in any game this season — with 8:03 remaining and rolled to its fourth-straight win. Four scored in double figures with
Ajon Efferson's 15 points (four 3-pointers) leading the way. Senior
Jacardo Hawkins was next with 14, followed by
Dorian Butler 12 and
Elijah Brown 10. Both
Blake McBride and
T.A. Dixon each had nine
Passing fancy
CSUSB dealt 26 assists on 28 field goals. Sophomore
Justin Frazier led with six, with McBride dishing out five. Efferson had four.
Be defensive
The Coyotes outscored the Warriors 22-10 on points off turnovers.
Inside and outside the 3-point stripe
CSUSB scored 14 3-pointers and 14 inside the arc. CSUSB finished 43.8 percent from the field.
Did you know?
With the 21-point victory, CSUSB has won its last two games by more than 20 points. It is the first time CSUSB has accomplished the feat since the 2010-11 season when the Coyotes defeated Cal State Monterey Bay 85-50 and San Francisco State 84-60.

CSUSB (11-10, 9-8 CCAA) is at Cal State San Marcos on Friday and returns to Coussoulis Arena on Saturday against UC San Diego. Stanislaus State dropped to 14-8, 9-7.
