POMONA (February 24, 2018) — The Coyotes fell behind early in their regular-season finale against CCAA champion Cal Poly Pomona, losing 89-70 at Kellogg Arena on Saturday night.
What the game means
CSUSB finished the regular season 13-13 overall and 11 in the CCAA. The Coyotes placed seventh in the CCAA race and play at Chico State on Tuesday night in the opening round of the CCAA Tournament. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m.
CCAA tournament again
It marks the first time in three seasons that the Coyotes will participate in the tournament.

Deficit early
CPP, which fired 62.1 percent from the floor in the opening half, created a 21-point lead (40-19) with 2:54 left in the first half. The Coyotes never got closer than eight points the remaining 23 minutes.
