ST. GEORGE, Utah (February 10, 2018) — Host Dixie State's Logan Porter hit a two-run home run with two outs in the ninth as the 15th-ranked Trailblazers handed the Coyotes a 4-2 loss in nonconference baseball.

The Coyotes (0-3) scored a run in each of the third and fourth inning. In the third, Ty Lineberger reached on a fielder's choice that scored Jacob Allen. In the fourth, Shawn Porthan's single through the right side scored Alec Ceniceros.

Dixie State (3-2) tied the game with two runs in the fourth.

Allen and Erik Allegro each had two hits with Allen accounting for a triple. Ceniceros had a double.

Blake Timm took the loss in 4 2/3 inning of relief. He had two strikeouts and scattered just three hits.
