TURLOCK, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes dominated the fourth quarter and overtime to come away with a 57-52 win over Stanislaus State on the road on Sunday afternoon.
They outscored the Warriors 21-9 in the fourth and 10-5 in the overtime period to end 2018 with a CCAA win. Jasmine Sauser scored 15 to lead all scorers and LeAundra Walker-Brown added 11. Kayla Bibb grabbed 10 boards to lead the team to go with nine points. The Yotes used 15 offensive rebounds to score 16 second-chance points for the difference in the game.
The Warriors led 24-17 at the half and 38-26 after three quarters. CSUSB jumped on a 16-4 run over the final six minutes of the game to tie the game at 47 on a three from Walker-Brown with 40 seconds to play. The Coyotes had two shots to win in regulation but the game went to OT. The Yotes scored the first four points of the extra period and never gave up the lead again.
