ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The CSUSB Coyotes fell to Concordia (OR) 62-68 on the campus of Central Washington on Friday night.
Jasmine Sauser led CSUSB with 22 points on seven-of-12 shooting. Kayla Bibb joined her in double figures with 14 and 12 rebounds for the double-double. The different came as CUO was almost perfect at the foul line, making 23-of-24.
CUO led by as much as eight in the first quarter but CSUSB closed to 14-17 at the buzzer, but the Cavaliers were able to take a 36-23 lead into the half. The Coyotes got it down to six twice in the third quarter but still trailed by 12, 50-38, heading into the fourth. A three by Sauser cut it to six again, 57-51, with five minutes left in the game. Two free throws from Bibb made it three, 65-62, with one minute left, but two late turnovers killed CSUSB's chance of tying.
