IRVINE (Sept. 6, 2016) — A break in the 74
th minute of play cost the Coyotes in their 1-0 loss to Concordia-Irvine in nonconference women's soccer Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles' Brianna Meyer scored her first goal of the season, receiving the ball from Olivia Khoury and firing it in the top left corner of the goal against the Coyotes' GK
Emily Whyte.
CSUSB totaled three shots on the afternoon — with two SOG from
Megan Todd — but could not solve CUI's defense.
CSUSB generated one corner kick in 90 minutes (early in the first half), but committed a foul on the play and did not convert.
Whyte had three saves on CUI's four SOG.
The Coyotes return to Coyote Premier Field on Friday against No. 6 Colorado School of Mines. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
