SAN BERNARDINO (April 17, 2016) -- Cal State East Bay took the three-game series from the Coyotes this weekend, winning 8-2 in the finale Sunday at Fiscalini Field.

Jordan Simon had three hits and William Ouellette had a two-run double in the sixth to key the Coyotes, now 17-20, 12-13 CCAA.

Troy Resch led the Pioneers (22-14, 13-12) with a three-run home run in the third.

Sophomore Brian Lockey (2-4) took the loss in four innings. He gave up seven hits and all five runs allowed were earned.

Austin Casillas had three strikeouts in three innings of relief. Cory Peterson had two strikeouts in his one inning (ninth) of relief.

The Coyotes are at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday and Friday before returning to Fiscalini Field on Saturday for a nine-inning, seven-inning doublheader.
