Box Score SAN BERNARDINO (Feb. 26, 2016) – Desi Barmore and
Everett Turner each scored 17 points and
Keith Smith and
Darryl Adigwu each scored in double figures as the Coyotes earned the season-sweep over Sonoma State, 83-69 in CCAA basketball Friday night.
The Coyotes, now 9-14 overall and 6-13 CCAA, close the regular season Saturday against San Francisco State on Senior Night.
The Coyotes shot 50 percent from the field and outscored the Seawolves 15-2 on fast-break opportunities in a game that CSUSB controlled virtually the entire way. In fact, SSU got as close as three points just once in the second half.
Eight Coyotes shared in their 17 assists with Barmore leading the way with four. Turner had three assists, two blocks and three steals, along with five rebounds.
Smith finished with 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting, and Adigwu totaled 12 with a team-high eight rebounds.
James Davis led the Seawolves (13-12, 8-11) with 18 points.
