Box Score SEASIDE (Nov. 11, 2016) — Khleem Perkins led CSUSB with 26 points and senior
Everett Turner just missed a triple double with 17 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists in the Coyotes' 89-84 overtime season-opening loss against Central Washington in a game played at Cal State Monterey Bay.
The Coyotes close the weekend against Concordia, Ore., on Saturday.
CSUSB led by 14 with 10:12 to go and led by nine (76-69) on
Nolan Kelly's tip-in with 4:02 left. But CWU outscored the Coyotes 10-0 over the next minute and a half and the game went into overtime tied at 79-each when Perkins hit the second of a two-shot foul with 19 seconds to go.
The Coyotes never led in OT.
CSUSB shot 48.2 percent on 27 of 56 shooting. The Coyotes were done-in by 23 turnovers in which the Wildcats scored 29 points.
Perkins was 8 of 14 with two 3s and 8 of 11 FTs. Turner hit two 3s with seven free throws and also added two steals.
Dorian Butler scored nine points and
Ramon Eaton added seven.
