SAN BERNARDINO (Jan. 3, 2015) -- A double-digit lead for most of the game spelled a successful Saturday night for Cal State San Bernardino, which defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills 88-66 in CCAA men's basketball at Coussoulis Arena.

Senior Taylor Statham earned his first double-double in his career with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Everett Turner also had 15 with four 3's. Senior post Tevin Harris scored 11.

This was an impressive night for coach Jeff Oliver's team as the Coyotes dealt 22 assists on 26 total field goals. Senior Tim Pendergraph and Turner each had five assists, while Morton and senior Casey Oldemoppen had three apiece.

The Coyotes never trailed in the game and gained a 10-point lead early in the first half on Turner's first three, 15-5 with 13:31 remaining. They padded the lead to 24 (41-17) on a Statham jumper with 3:07 left. The Toros finished the half on an 8-0 run for a 41-25 Coyotes lead at the break.

CSUSB (4-5, 4-2 CCAA) never let the lead go fewer than 14 in the second half and led by as many as 28 with 11:44 to go.

The Toros (4-8, 0-6) were led by Ivan Dooley's game-high 31.
